Free-Fall (Morning) Educational Workshop Begins
Oct 2 @ 10:00 am – 12:00 pm

Grievance Handling – Tuesday: This course teaches the skills needed to represent workers with grievances. Topics include what is and is not a grievance, proper grievance investigation techniques, and written grievance presentation skills. Prerequisites: None.

Bread Box/Ballot Box: This course is designed as an introduction to civics from a local, state and federal perspective. The focus of this course is to show how changes and decisions made in government have a direct effect on members’ everyday lives. Upon completing the course, members will have a better understanding of the political process, the structure of government and how policies and laws impact everyday individuals. Prerequisites: None.

Collective Bargaining: This course will instruct members how to negotiate a contract. The focus of this class includes proper bargaining table etiquette, preparing proposals, what information to request before bargaining, and many more negotiating skills. Prerequisites: None.
